I  think to some degree everyone is an actor...you "act" when you go out on
that first date, job interview, parole hearing. It becomes a little different
when there is a camera pointed at you, and the rest of the cast is standing
off camera watching, but it's still the same idea, pretending. Some people
pretend better than others.

My professional acting career started the day I got into radio. Radio was a
natural extension for the behavior I exuded as a child/teen. Immature,
reckless, aloof.  So much so, that my High School guidance councilor
suggested it as a career choice. I've spent 24 years developing the
Bladerunner character. The key to it was to find it in myself. Since I didn't
have to be any one person, I could steal a little bit of everyone for it. My
"Bladerunner" character is the same character you have in you, the one
that no one, or very few people see. I just happen to exploit that part of me
for everyone to see. But really,  I wasn't so much acting as the
Bladerunner...I was channeling him.

I played the part of the best friend "Evan" in the Rick Walker film SAM AND
JANET. You can catch it on Lifetime on occasion, and pick it up on DVD. The
movie stars Ryan Brown (Guiding Light/ Law and Order), and Jennifer
Ferguson (The Fun Park), with special guest appearance Gary Busey. My
first day was nervous insanity. I had no idea which scene we were going to
shoot first, so I memorized every one of my lines. In the first scene, the last
part of the line I had to say was "I have a date with Susan" I think the first
ten takes I said "I have a date with Janet". I think I cost Rick about 3
thousand bucks in film on that take alone (he took it out of my pay). Gary
Busey kept calling me "Buddy" I know it was because he couldn't
remember my name, but I liked to think it was because he played Buddy
Holly.

Here's a scene I'm in with Ryan and Gary courtesy of BladeWalker films:

I've acted in the majority of my films for SHOOT YOUR RADIO  Productions. My
first production was for Discovery Channel. A parody on Survivorman. You can
view it, and the rest, by clicking on the FILMMAKER navigation bar.
I'm working on typecasting myself as a gas station attendant. I'm hoping
every time a film is shot in OKC requiring a gas station attendant, I can be
the Gilligan of this part. Thanks to Shawn S. Lealos for helping me get this
off the ground.

I play "Bart" in the Starving Dogs film W.W.Z.J.D. A very cool biblical zombie
flick. It's in the production stages now as the filming wrapped up this
spring. Here's the Myspace page with movie info/pictures/cast:
