Stuff and things and stuff...
Very shortly after being booted from radio, I decided to feed my passion for
creativity through other means...video. I decided to film, edit, produce, and
host THE BLADERUNNER SHOW. A TV show for the Internet. (I refuse to call
it a podcast...that sounds so under produced to me.) So in the vein of TV, I
created a 30 minute "TV" show for the internet.
Tweaking The Bladerunner Show
Youtube and Myspace only allow 10 minutes in length, so I broke the show
into three seperate parts. I quickly learned that there is a reason Youtube
and Myspace only allow 10 minute uploads...short attention span theater.
Everyone watched the first part, half watched the second part, and 3
people watched the third part. So now the show is generally 10 minutes in
length.
The Bladerunner Show concept
My initial idea was to focus on local artists and people, figuring that each
person featured on the show would help promote it by posting it on their
own pages, and take the time to let others know about it. Whether it be, the
featured artist, guests shot, or just an appearance by pretty much anyone.
Again, I was a little off in my estimations. So once again the show will be
tweaked to mainly feature national people.
About The Bladerunner Show
I am doing the show for my own creative outlet. There's no pressure to get
it done by any deadline. I am not guided by sponsors to edit content. I have
no one telling me how it would best be done. It's just about fun. I loved
editing audio which was one of the things that attracted me to radio, so
video editing was the next logical step.
"Shill that car lot car spot...
my Ipod beat your time slot...
living in the land time forgot...
Shoot your radio...
goddamn...nice shot"
Bladerunner 2007.
